Hemos llegado a estar a 4.700 metros de altura, donde, aparte de los l\u00f3gicos problemas de falta de potencia del coche, te encuentras con problemas de fatiga prematura. En la zona m\u00e1s alta hemos parado a hacer unas fotograf\u00edas y cualquier movimiento, como echarse una carrera para posar en una foto, hace que sientas un agobio impresionante.<br \/>\nLa etapa ha comenzado hora y media m\u00e1s tarde para poder recuperar participantes. Ayer dec\u00eda en el blog que los \u00faltimos equipos lo pasar\u00edan fatal en las dunas del final de la especial, como as\u00ed ha sido, por lo que mucha gente ha pasado la noche en la pista.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/Sainz_Cruz_dia5_11.jpg\" alt=\"Sainz_Cruz_dia5_1\" title=\"Sainz_Cruz_dia5_1\" width=\"728\" height=\"454\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-92\" \/><br \/>\nEl tramo de hoy comenzaba en una pista de monta\u00f1a, con much\u00edsimas horquillas, que algunos han recortado, tomando unos riesgos alt\u00edsimos. El camino ascend\u00eda hasta m\u00e1s de 3.000 metros. Al acabar la monta\u00f1a, entr\u00e1bamos en un r\u00edo seco donde era muy complicada la navegaci\u00f3n y hemos dudado en un par de sitios.<br \/>\nEl final de la etapa era rapid\u00edsimo, una pista muy ancha y con baches, donde Gordon ha sacado todo el partido a su coche de dos ruedas motrices (con m\u00e1s recorrido de suspensi\u00f3n, por reglamento), para hacerse con la victoria. El BMW de Peterhansel, que tambi\u00e9n tiene m\u00e1s punta que nuestro coche, ha quedado segundo. Para nosotros lo importante es que seguimos segundos y que el coche est\u00e1 intacto, ya que estamos corriendo sin asumir riesgos, conscientes de que la carrera acaba de comenzar, que todav\u00eda faltan las etapas m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles. Y el ritmo que se est\u00e1 llevando en cabeza es m\u00e1s adecuado para una prueba tipo Baja que para un Dakar.<br \/>\nPorque el Dakar es una carrera en la que una tonter\u00eda te puede hacer perder mucho tiempo. Y si no que se lo pregunten al argentino Orlando Terranova. En la etapa de ayer romp\u00eda el embrague, una aver\u00eda que se habr\u00eda podido resolver en menos de media hora de tener el repuesto. Pero ellos no llevaban. Quien s\u00ed llevaba era su compa\u00f1ero Carlos Sousa, pero cuando pas\u00f3 por su lado no entendi\u00f3 las se\u00f1ales que les hac\u00edan sus compa\u00f1eros de equipo y pas\u00f3 de largo sin dejarles el embrague de recambio.
