Como el prototipo, el Astra GTC tiene una carrocer\u00eda de <strong>tres puertas<\/strong>, cinco plazas y unos 4,47 metros de longitud. Las diferencias de aspecto m\u00e1s importantes respecto a la variante de cinco puertas est\u00e1n en la parte trasera.<br \/>\nA finales de 2012, podr\u00e1 comprarse con un <strong>motor Diesel 2.0 Bi Turbo CDTI de 195 CV<\/strong>, el mismo que tiene el Insignia. Tambi\u00e9n estar\u00e1 disponible en el Astra de cinco puertas y en el familiar. Con este motor, tiene unas prestaciones mejores que con el de 165 CV (<strong>226 km\/h de velocidad m\u00e1xima<\/strong>), mientras que el consumo medio homologado es el mismo (<strong>4,9 l\/100 km<\/strong>), es decir poco para un coche de su potencia.<br \/>\nAdem\u00e1s, del nuevo motor, la gama de motores est\u00e1 formada por varias unidades ya disponibles en otras carrocer\u00edas del Astra. Son dos de gasolina (<strong>1.4 Turbo de 140 CV<\/strong> y <strong>1.6 Turbo de 180 CV<\/strong>) y dos Diesel (<strong>1.7 CDTI de 130 CV<\/strong> y <strong>2.0 CDTI de 165 CV<\/strong>). El cambo es manual de seis velocidades en todas las versiones. Desde diciembre de 2011, es posible adquirir la versi\u00f3n 2.0 CDTI de 165 CV con un <strong>cambio autom\u00e1tico de seis velocidades<\/strong>.<br \/>\nEl prototipo GTC Paris llevaba un motor de gasolina con <strong>2,0 litros de cilindrada y 290 CV<\/strong> de potencia m\u00e1ximo, que est\u00e1 turboalimentado.
