En el marco de las jornadas tecnol\u00f3gicas del sector, Volvo Cars y Google han presentado una colaboraci\u00f3n orientada a crear una nueva generaci\u00f3n de <strong>experiencias de conducci\u00f3n contextuales<\/strong> mediante el uso de la inteligencia artificial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La demostraci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica, realizada sobre la plataforma de desarrollo del nuevo&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/coches\/volvo\/ex60\/2026\/estandar\/informacion\">Volvo EX60<\/a>, muestra la integraci\u00f3n de la tecnolog\u00eda de c\u00e1mara para veh\u00edculos de Google Gemini. El prop\u00f3sito de este desarrollo es permitir que, mediante los permisos pertinentes del usuario, el sistema del veh\u00edculo sea capaz de ver, procesar y <strong>entender el entorno f\u00edsico exterior en tiempo real<\/strong> desde la perspectiva del propio autom\u00f3vil. Para lograrlo, la arquitectura de software del veh\u00edculo combina la comprensi\u00f3n multimodal de la IA con la capacidad de c\u00e1lculo local.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfC\u00f3mo lee el entorno?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El funcionamiento de este asistente no se limita al reconocimiento de patrones de imagen simple, como hacen los lectores de se\u00f1ales de tr\u00e1fico actuales basados en c\u00e1maras de v\u00eddeo. La clave est\u00e1 en la&nbsp;<strong>comprensi\u00f3n multimodal<\/strong>, una capacidad de la IA que permite cruzar e interpretar flujos de datos heterog\u00e9neos, como comandos de voz, im\u00e1genes tomadas en directo y datos cartogr\u00e1ficos din\u00e1micos, para asimilar una situaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para que este proceso sea viable con la rapidez (fracciones de segundo) que exige la conducci\u00f3n, el Volvo EX60 recurre a una&nbsp;<strong>Unidad de Procesamiento Neuronal o NPU<\/strong> dedicada. Lo que hace este hardware es ejecutar las tareas pesadas de inteligencia artificial en el propio veh\u00edculo, para as\u00ed evitar la latencia que supondr\u00eda enviar constantemente im\u00e1genes de alta definici\u00f3n a la nube para su an\u00e1lisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un ejemplo pr\u00e1ctico de esta capacidad se est\u00e1 en la <strong>gesti\u00f3n del aparcamiento<\/strong> en zonas urbanas congestionadas. Al aproximarse a una plaza de estacionamiento, las c\u00e1maras del veh\u00edculo registran las se\u00f1ales verticales y las marcas viales. El sistema procesa la informaci\u00f3n en tiempo real, desglosando las restricciones temporales, los permisos de residentes necesarios o las tarifas aplicables para ofrecer al conductor una indicaci\u00f3n clara <strong>sobre si puede o no estacionar<\/strong> en ese punto exacto.
