Un mes despu\u00e9s, se implementar\u00e1 tambi\u00e9n en la fabricaci\u00f3n del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/coches\/bmw\/serie-2\/2025\/coupe\/m2\/informacion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">M2<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Est\u00e1 pensada para <strong>mejorar la eficiencia a cargas elevadas<\/strong> y, simult\u00e1neamente, poder <strong>cumplir con la normativa Euro 7<\/strong> sin tener que recurrir a la reducci\u00f3n de potencia o sistemas de hibridaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es BMW M Ignite?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BMW M Ignite<\/strong> es un sistema de <strong>encendido por prec\u00e1mara<\/strong> aplicado a los motores de seis cilindros en l\u00ednea de la gama M. T\u00e9cnicamente, consiste en a\u00f1adir una peque\u00f1a c\u00e1mara auxiliar de combusti\u00f3n integrada en la culata y comunicada con la c\u00e1mara principal mediante varios orificios calibrados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta prec\u00e1mara (mucho m\u00e1s peque\u00f1a que la c\u00e1mara principal del cilindro) tiene su propia buj\u00eda. Con <strong>cargas elevadas<\/strong>, la mezcla se enciende en esta prec\u00e1mara en vez de en la principal. Con <strong>cargas parciales<\/strong>, las dos buj\u00edas \u2014prec\u00e1mara y cilindro\u2014 trabajan conjuntamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A trav\u00e9s de los orificios de la prec\u00e1mara, la combusti\u00f3n se propaga hacia el cilindro por una superficie amplia, mejorando el encendido de la mezcla que queda en \u00e9l.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/BMW-M-Ignite-Technology-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"BMW M Ignite Technology\" class=\"wp-image-69641\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/BMW-M-Ignite-Technology-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/BMW-M-Ignite-Technology-980x653.jpg 980w, https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/BMW-M-Ignite-Technology-480x320.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ventajas e inconvenientes<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Gracias al sistema de encendido en la prec\u00e1mara, los gases de escape tienen menor temperatura debido a una mejor combusti\u00f3n. En un cilindro convencional, la mezcla se enciende en un \u00fanico punto (la buj\u00eda) y se tiene que propagar por el resto del volumen. Con el sistema de prec\u00e1mara, <strong>varios frentes de llama se propagan hac\u00eda el cilindro<\/strong>, con lo que existen varios puntos de ignici\u00f3n.<br><br>Esta combusti\u00f3n m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida y controlada puede reducir la temperatura de los gases de escape, especialmente a cargas elevadas. La raz\u00f3n no es que el sistema \u00abenfr\u00ede\u00bb directamente el motor, sino que aprovecha mejor la energ\u00eda del combustible dentro del cilindro, convirti\u00e9ndola en trabajo \u00fatil sobre el pist\u00f3n en vez de dejar que parte de esa energ\u00eda salga hacia el escape.<br><br>Una temperatura menor a cargas elevadas conlleva dos ventajas: por un lado, <strong>reduce el estr\u00e9s t\u00e9rmico de algunos componentes, como las v\u00e1lvulas de escape, el turbocompresor y el catalizador<\/strong>. La otra, principal en este caso, es que <strong>no es necesario enriquecer la mezcla<\/strong> para controlar la temperatura. Si no hace falta enriquecerla, <strong>el consumo mejora y, por consiguiente, las emisiones<\/strong>.<br><br>El principal inconveniente es la <strong>mayor complejidad t\u00e9cnica<\/strong>. Cada cilindro incorpora dos buj\u00edas, dos bobinas y una culata m\u00e1s elaborada. Esto aumenta el coste de fabricaci\u00f3n, encarece el mantenimiento y conlleva una gesti\u00f3n electr\u00f3nica m\u00e1s sofisticada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n aparecen nuevos puntos delicados en el motor. Los orificios de la prec\u00e1mara deben mantener su forma para no alterar el flujo de los chorros de combusti\u00f3n.
