Aquel famoso mantra que <strong>Colin Chapman<\/strong>, su fundador, repet\u00eda insistentemente, hoy en d\u00eda no se sostiene de ninguna manera: <strong>\u00abA\u00f1adir potencia te hace m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido en las rectas. Restar peso te hace m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido en todas partes\u00bb<\/strong>. Su gama actual est\u00e1 repleta de modelos el\u00e9ctricos (con alguna excepci\u00f3n), modelos que seguramente sean brillantes en muchos aspectos, pero <strong>ligeros, lo que se dice ligeros, no lo son<\/strong>. Y sin embargo, potencia tienen como para dar y tomar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unos lo llamar\u00e1n progreso, otros, un paso atr\u00e1s, pero lo que parece evidente es que la marca quiere vender y ganar dinero (algo que, de momento, parece no conseguir). Y eso, <strong>a base de deportivos ligeros, es una utop\u00eda<\/strong>. Su gama actual probablemente no sea del agrado de los m\u00e1s puristas porque est\u00e1 compuesta por modelos que nada tienen que ver con lo que nos ten\u00eda acostumbrados: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/coches\/lotus\/eletre\/2023\/estandar\/informacion\">Eletre<\/a>, un SUV de hasta 900 CV y m\u00e1s de 2,5 toneladas, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/coches\/lotus\/emeya\/2025\/estandar\/informacion\">Emeya<\/a>, la variante berlina del Eletre (con similares caracter\u00edsticas t\u00e9cnicas), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/coches\/lotus\/evija\/2026\/estandar\/informacion\">Evija<\/a>, un biplaza el\u00e9ctrico de m\u00e1s de 2000 CV y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/coches\/lotus\/emira\/2022\/estandar\/informacion\">Emira<\/a>, <strong>el \u00fanico modelo cuyo concepto se parece a la idea original de Lotus<\/strong> (es un biplaza con motor de gasolina en posici\u00f3n central).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Lotus-Type-135-posterior-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Lotus Type 135 - posterior\" class=\"wp-image-69608\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Lotus-Type-135-posterior-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Lotus-Type-135-posterior-980x653.jpg 980w, https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Lotus-Type-135-posterior-480x320.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Pero no todo son malas noticias. Hoy, 12 de mayo de 2026, <strong>Lotus ha anunciado el lanzamiento de un nuevo modelo para 2028<\/strong>. Un coche que no ser\u00e1 peque\u00f1o y, con toda probabilidad, tampoco ligero, pero que <strong>volver\u00e1 a utilizar un motor de combusti\u00f3n<\/strong> (hibridado, eso s\u00ed), una tecnolog\u00eda que Lotus parec\u00eda haber abandonado con el lanzamiento del mencionado Emira en 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Son pocos los detalles que la marca ha dado a conocer, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de que tendr\u00e1 un <strong>V8 electrificado<\/strong> (desconocemos en qu\u00e9 medida) con <strong>m\u00e1s de mil caballos de potencia<\/strong>. Tampoco despeja muchas dudas la \u00fanica fotograf\u00eda que ha publicado Lotus, donde solo se aprecia la parte posterior del coche (por ahora denominado <strong>Type 135<\/strong>) con dos grandes salidas de escape en posici\u00f3n central.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Queda claro, por tanto, que no se parecer\u00e1 a un Lotus Seven, ni a un Elise, ni siquiera a un Elan, pero lo que resulta evidente es que, con este lanzamiento, <strong>Lotus vuelve a un terreno que parec\u00eda haber abandonado: el de los coches con motor de combusti\u00f3n<\/strong>.
