Sin embargo, ese espacio vac\u00edo que dejamos al no forzar la entrada de m\u00e1s combustible no es un error de dise\u00f1o ni una ineficiencia del sensor: es una necesidad t\u00e9cnica importante para la <strong>salud del motor<\/strong> y el sistema de emisiones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El corte autom\u00e1tico del surtidor se basa en un sistema neum\u00e1tico de detecci\u00f3n: el boquerel (boquilla del surtidor) incorpora un peque\u00f1o orificio que, al quedar cubierto por el combustible, altera la depresi\u00f3n interna y acciona el mecanismo de cierre. Si una vez que se recibe este aviso, se ignora e insiste en introducir m\u00e1s litros, se pueden comprometer componentes del sistema EVAP (<strong>sistema de control de emisiones evaporativas<\/strong>), como el c\u00e1nister, la v\u00e1lvula de purga o las l\u00edneas de ventilaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 riesgos hay?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Los dep\u00f3sitos modernos est\u00e1n integrados en un sistema cerrado de gesti\u00f3n de vapores, pero no pueden funcionar sin ventilaci\u00f3n controlada. Los vapores son canalizados hacia un componente denominado&nbsp;<strong>c\u00e1nister<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>o filtro de carb\u00f3n activo.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo que hace el c\u00e1nister es atrapar los hidrocarburos evaporados para que no salgan a la atm\u00f3sfera. Posteriormente, mediante una v\u00e1lvula de purga, estos vapores se introducen en la admisi\u00f3n del motor para ser quemados de forma segura durante la combusti\u00f3n. El problema aparece cuando llenamos el dep\u00f3sito hasta la boca, ya que el combustible en estado l\u00edquido <strong>puede entrar en las tuber\u00edas<\/strong> destinadas exclusivamente al vapor y acabar <strong>inundando el carb\u00f3n activo.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Una vez que el c\u00e1nister se satura de l\u00edquido, puede da\u00f1arse y perder eficacia. Esto suele derivar en el encendido del <strong>testigo de fallo de motor<\/strong>, problemas en el arranque tras el repostaje (debido a una mezcla excesivamente rica que llega a la admisi\u00f3n) y, en \u00faltima instancia, una reparaci\u00f3n que puede superar los <strong>varios cientos de euros<\/strong>, ya que el filtro de carb\u00f3n activo debe ser sustituido por completo al no poder procesar el combustible l\u00edquido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Espacio de expansi\u00f3n necesario<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Otro factor f\u00edsico que a menudo se olvida es la&nbsp;<strong>dilataci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica<\/strong>&nbsp;del combustible. Los dep\u00f3sitos suelen incorporar un volumen libre en su parte superior para absorber la expansi\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica del combustible y gestionar correctamente los vapores. Si forzamos el llenado hasta el l\u00edmite f\u00edsico de la boca de carga, eliminamos esta c\u00e1mara de aire de protecci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En casos extremos, si el coche se queda estacionado al sol inmediatamente despu\u00e9s de un sobrellenado, el combustible en expansi\u00f3n puede buscar una v\u00eda de salida a trav\u00e9s de los tubos de aireaci\u00f3n o el propio tap\u00f3n, <strong>provocando derrames<\/strong>, que ensuciar\u00e1n la carrocer\u00eda y los neum\u00e1ticos (el combustible puede da\u00f1ar ciertos acabados, barnices, pl\u00e1sticos y elast\u00f3meros si permanece en contacto con ellos), y adem\u00e1s dar\u00e1 lugar a un <strong>riesgo evidente de incendio<\/strong> y un da\u00f1o medioambiental innecesario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por tanto, la m\u00e1xima eficiencia en un repostaje no se consigue apurando la capacidad del tanque, sino respetando los l\u00edmites para los que fue dise\u00f1ado el sistema. <strong>El primer \u00abclic\u00bb del boquerel <\/strong>debe considerarse la se\u00f1al de parada<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Para muchos conductores, el momento en que la manguera de la gasolinera se detiene de forma autom\u00e1tica es el inicio de una peque\u00f1a batalla por redondear la cifra del surtidor o intentar ganar unos kil\u00f3metros extra de autonom\u00eda.
