As\u00ed lo regula la DGT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Los carriles BUS-VAO (Veh\u00edculos de Alta Ocupaci\u00f3n) se han convertido en una soluci\u00f3n habitual para mejorar la fluidez del tr\u00e1fico en las entradas y salidas de grandes ciudades. Est\u00e1n pensados para <strong>veh\u00edculos con varios ocupantes<\/strong>, aunque no todos los conductores tienen claro cu\u00e1ndo pueden utilizarlos o si existen excepciones. Circular por ellos sin cumplir los requisitos puede suponer una sanci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica y la p\u00e9rdida de puntos, por lo que conviene conocer bien qu\u00e9 dice la normativa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfPara qu\u00e9 sirve un carril BUS-VAO?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Los carriles BUS-VAO est\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados para&nbsp;<strong>fomentar el uso compartido del veh\u00edculo y reducir la congesti\u00f3n y la contaminaci\u00f3n<\/strong>. Su nombre ya lo indica: est\u00e1n reservados a autobuses y a veh\u00edculos con alta ocupaci\u00f3n. En Espa\u00f1a, estos carriles est\u00e1n regulados por la&nbsp;Direcci\u00f3n General de Tr\u00e1fico&nbsp;y su uso est\u00e1 delimitado mediante se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n vertical y horizontal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Generalmente,&nbsp;<strong>solo pueden circular por ellos veh\u00edculos con dos o m\u00e1s ocupantes<\/strong>, aunque este n\u00famero puede variar en funci\u00f3n del tramo, la ciudad o las condiciones de tr\u00e1fico. La norma se aplica, sobre todo, en v\u00edas de acceso a grandes urbes como Madrid o Barcelona, donde el carril Bus-VAO de la A-6 o el de la C-58 son los m\u00e1s conocidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La&nbsp;DGT recuerda&nbsp;que estos carriles buscan \u00abpremiar la eficiencia del transporte y desincentivar el uso individual del coche\u00bb. De hecho, en los tramos donde se han implantado, se ha observado una <strong>mejora del tr\u00e1fico general <\/strong>y una reducci\u00f3n del tiempo medio de viaje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Excepciones para poder circular solo por el carril Bus-VAO<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Aunque la norma general solo acoge a veh\u00edculos con varias personas dentro,&nbsp;existen excepciones&nbsp;que permiten utilizar el carril Bus-VAO incluso si vas solo. Esto pretende fomentar la movilidad sostenible y compensar el mayor coste de estos autom\u00f3viles. Sin embargo, no todos los carriles aplican esta excepci\u00f3n, por lo que conviene consultar la ordenanza local o la informaci\u00f3n de la v\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n pueden circular por este carril\u00a0<strong>motocicletas<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>veh\u00edculos de transporte p\u00fablico<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>taxis ocupados<\/strong> y, en algunos casos,\u00a0<strong>veh\u00edculos prioritarios<\/strong>\u00a0en servicio urgente, como ambulancias o coches de polic\u00eda. Es distinto el caso de los\u00a0veh\u00edculos con etiqueta ECO o C, que<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>no est\u00e1n exentos del requisito de ocupaci\u00f3n, salvo que la se\u00f1al lo indique expresamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En Madrid, por ejemplo, el carril BUS-VAO de la A-6 permite el paso a los el\u00e9ctricos y a los h\u00edbridos enchufables con etiqueta CERO aunque circulen solos, pero no a los h\u00edbridos ligeros ni a los veh\u00edculos con etiqueta ECO. En otras ciudades, como Barcelona, las condiciones pueden variar seg\u00fan el tramo y el momento del d\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Posibles multas por usarlo indebidamente<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Circular por un carril BUS-VAO sin cumplir las condiciones establecidas&nbsp;<strong>constituye una infracci\u00f3n grave<\/strong>. Seg\u00fan la&nbsp;Ley sobre Tr\u00e1fico, Circulaci\u00f3n de Veh\u00edculos a Motor y Seguridad Vial, el conductor puede enfrentarse a&nbsp;<strong>una multa de 200 euros<\/strong>, aunque sin p\u00e9rdida de puntos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, la DGT y los ayuntamientos han incrementado la&nbsp;<strong>vigilancia con c\u00e1maras y sistemas autom\u00e1ticos de detecci\u00f3n de ocupantes<\/strong>, capaces de identificar cu\u00e1ntas personas viajan en el veh\u00edculo.
