A pesar de su aparente sencillez, la Direcci\u00f3n General de Tr\u00e1fico recuerda con frecuencia que una gran parte de los accidentes en estos puntos se debe a un <strong>mal uso de los carriles<\/strong> o a confusiones sobre las normas de prioridad. Entender c\u00f3mo se debe circular correctamente por una glorieta evita sanciones al tiempo que mejora la fluidez del tr\u00e1fico y reduce los riesgos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Reglamento General de Circulaci\u00f3n, en su art\u00edculo 75, establece las reglas generales para este tipo de intersecciones. Seg\u00fan la norma, dentro de una rotonda:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Se debe circular por el <strong>carril que m\u00e1s convenga a la direcci\u00f3n que se vaya a tomar<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Los conductores deben respetar la prioridad de los veh\u00edculos que ya est\u00e1n dentro de ella. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Est\u00e1 prohibido detenerse<\/strong> o realizar maniobras bruscas que entorpezcan la circulaci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfCu\u00e1l es el carril adecuado para circular por una rotonda?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Es la duda que surge constantemente, y la DGT es clara al respecto: siempre que se circule por una glorieta con varios carriles, el conductor <strong>debe usar el derecho si va a salir en la primera salida o seguir recto<\/strong>. Foto de la DGT<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo importante, <a href=\"https:\/\/revista.dgt.es\/es\/multimedia\/infografia\/2014\/1008-Como-circular-en-glorietas.shtml\">seg\u00fan la normativa,<\/a> es que <strong>las salidas deben hacerse siempre desde el carril derecho<\/strong>. Si un conductor circula por el carril interior y desea salir, debe cambiar de carril con antelaci\u00f3n suficiente y se\u00f1alizar correctamente la maniobra. Realizar el giro directamente desde el carril interior, cruzando de forma brusca hacia la salida, es una de las infracciones m\u00e1s comunes y una de las principales causas de colisiones laterales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo anterior no siempre es cierto, hay <strong>excepciones<\/strong>: en algunas rotondas, las marcas viales indican que se puede abandonar la misma desde m\u00e1s de un carril. En la siguiente imagen es un ejemplo de una de esas excepciones, en la que se puede salir de la rotonda desde cualquiera de los dos carriles y el exterior no permite seguir circulando por ella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"561\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-1024x561.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-64389\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-980x537.png 980w, https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-480x263.png 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Una excepci\u00f3n al gr\u00e1fico de ejemplo de la DGT<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n hay que tener en cuenta que las rotondas no funcionan igual que los cruces convencionales. Considerando que su idea es la de mantener la fluidez, los veh\u00edculos que circulen por ellas no deben bloquear las salidas ni detenerse en el interior salvo por necesidad. Adem\u00e1s, <strong>el uso de los intermitentes es fundamental tanto al entrar como al salir<\/strong>, algo que muchos conductores olvidan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qu\u00e9 sanciones pueden aplicarse<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Aunque no existe un art\u00edculo espec\u00edfico que describa cada maniobra dentro de una rotonda, el Reglamento General de Circulaci\u00f3n establece unos principios que tambi\u00e9n se aplican en ellas. Circular de forma incorrecta o sin respetar la prioridad puede considerarse una infracci\u00f3n grave, sancionada con <strong>200 euros<\/strong>, seg\u00fan el art\u00edculo 65 de la Ley de Tr\u00e1fico, Circulaci\u00f3n de Veh\u00edculos a Motor y Seguridad Vial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por su parte, el <strong>uso inadecuado de los intermitentes<\/strong> o los cambios de carril sin se\u00f1alizar tambi\u00e9n pueden ser sancionados con hasta 200 euros, al considerarse maniobras que comprometen la seguridad vial. En los casos m\u00e1s graves (al provocar un accidente por invadir el carril de otro veh\u00edculo), la sanci\u00f3n <strong>puede incluir la p\u00e9rdida de puntos<\/strong> del carn\u00e9 de conducir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por tanto, no hay un carril exclusivo para salir, sino que todos los carriles son v\u00e1lidos siempre que se realicen los cambios de forma anticipada y segura.
