La responsabilidad de probar uno de los coches m\u00e1s avanzados del mercado hizo que llegara a buscarlo con un peque\u00f1o nudo en la garganta. Nada m\u00e1s montar hice lo de siempre en coches de este tipo: tratar de concentrarme y, tras unas breves miradas al salpicadero y mandos, intuir si ser\u00eda f\u00e1cil de manejar, a pesar de toda la tecnolog\u00eda embarcada. Antes no ocurr\u00eda eso, pero los coches est\u00e1n cambiando mucho.\u00a0Entre las dos llaves que aparecen a continuaci\u00f3n hay m\u00e1s de 30 a\u00f1os de diferencia. Esto puede dar una pista de lo que implica\u00a0probar un coche de principios de los ochenta y uno moderno:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6279\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/20151217_093407.jpg\" alt=\"20151217_093407\" width=\"700\" height=\"454\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/20151217_093407.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/20151217_093407-480x311.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 700px, 100vw\" \/><br \/>\nDespu\u00e9s de unos pocos minutos, y a pesar de las\u00a0dificultades para conectar mi tel\u00e9fono por bluetooth, lo ten\u00eda m\u00e1s o menos claro. El BMW Serie 7 2016 es relativamente f\u00e1cil de manejar para quien haya conducido alg\u00fan BMW moderno de menor porte (la estructura de men\u00fas es similar) y para quien est\u00e9 acostumbrado a lidiar con pantallas t\u00e1ctiles y dispositivos modernos en general. La organizaci\u00f3n de todo lo importante parece sensata y coherente.<br \/>\nTiene detalles que me han convencido desde un principio, como el sistema de c\u00e1maras que permite un\u00a0control muy preciso de lo que ocurre alrededor del coche. No es un sistema est\u00e1tico que pasa de una imagen fija a otra imagen fija (delante-detr\u00e1s-lateral-etc). Por ejemplo, si se va maniobrando en marcha atr\u00e1s y se engrana la marcha hacia delante, en la pantalla se ve como si una c\u00e1mara pasara volando por encima del coche de la parte posterior a la delantera. Las funciones de las c\u00e1maras de aparcamiento son muy completas; e incluso hay una que da una idea de si el espacio lateral es suficiente para abrir las puertas.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6285\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/20151216_180103.jpg\" alt=\"20151216_180103\" width=\"700\" height=\"413\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/20151216_180103.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/20151216_180103-480x283.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 700px, 100vw\" \/><br \/>\nPoco a poco tendr\u00e9 que sumergirme en la estructura de men\u00fas de las m\u00faltiples pantallas e ir descubriendo todas las posibilidades. Pues no. Por ejemplo, no veo muy \u00fatil el acceso a Internet, sus aplicaciones y servicios en l\u00ednea. No me parece \u00fatil porque resulta lento introducir una direcci\u00f3n, ya se haga mediante la ruleta (iDrive) que hay entre los asientos delanteros o dibujando cada letra sobre una superficie t\u00e1ctil. Todo lo que sea navegar se hace mejor, a mi juicio, desde un tel\u00e9fono m\u00f3vil de calidad mediana.<br \/>\nPero no hay que olvidar las plazas posteriores, pues el BMW Serie 7 largo quiz\u00e1 se disfrute m\u00e1s desde atr\u00e1s que en los asientos delanteros. Nuestra unidad de pruebas lleva la opci\u00f3n \u201cExecutive Lounge Seating\u201d (que permite repantingarse en las plazas traseras) y diversas tabletas para el manejo del extenso sistema de informaci\u00f3n y entretenimiento.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6283\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/20151216_163133.jpg\" alt=\"20151216_163133\" width=\"700\" height=\"465\" \/><br \/>\nYa he conducido este coche 400 kil\u00f3metros y la impresi\u00f3n que tengo es que, casi siempre, parece mucho m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o de lo que realmente es. El tama\u00f1o me ha parecido evidente\u00a0una vez que he visto lo que ocupa en mi habitual plaza\u00a0de aparcamiento, m\u00e1s que en las dificultades para meterlo ah\u00ed. Tambi\u00e9n sorprende lo bien que se maneja en v\u00edas muy lentas de monta\u00f1a. No s\u00f3lo no parece que sea m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o de lo que realmente es, sino tambi\u00e9n se siente mucho m\u00e1s ligero. El BMW Serie 7 s\u00f3lo se nota grande donde es bueno que as\u00ed ocurra: en autopistas y autov\u00edas. Tiene esa marcha imperturbable, f\u00e1cil y silenciosa que s\u00f3lo tienen las mejores berlinas.
