Esto ocurri\u00f3 el 31 de marzo de 1998 en el circuito de Ehra-Lessien, situado en Alemania y propiedad de Volkswagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hab\u00eda truco en ese r\u00e9cord. El McLaren F1 empleado ten\u00eda el<strong> limitador ajustado a 8300 rpm<\/strong>, cuando los F1 de los clientes no pasaban de 7500 rpm. En cualquier caso, la marca ya se hab\u00eda establecido, m\u00e1s de 390 km\/h de punta (el r\u00e9cord oficial, que consist\u00eda en la media de dos pasadas, fue de 386,4 km\/h). Parec\u00eda imposible de batir. Ni siquiera la camada de h\u00edper deportivos de Ferrari, McLaren-Mercedes y Porsche de principios de siglo pon\u00eda en riesgo la haza\u00f1a. Un cambio de era.  <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Un<strong> fabricante sueco de nombre extra\u00f1o<\/strong> y todav\u00eda poco conocido, asegura que su veh\u00edculo deportivo puede alcanzar 395 km\/h. Es el <strong>Koenigsegg CCR<\/strong>, una bestia con un motor V8 de 817 CV que pesa menos de 1300 kilogramos. En el mes de febrero de aquel 2005, en un test realizado en el \u00f3valo de Nard\u00f2 (Italia), logra 387,9 km\/h. Es r\u00e1pido, muy r\u00e1pido, pero insuficiente para superar al McLaren F1. Probablemente de haber hecho esta prueba en una pista m\u00e1s favorable, como Ehra-Lessien por ejemplo, otro gallo cantar\u00eda. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Evidentemente, Volkswagen no le iba a ceder su circuito a Koenigsegg para esos menesteres. Entre otros motivos, porque ellos estaban preparando el <strong>gran acontecimiento del a\u00f1o<\/strong>. En abril, una Bugatti renacida y con m\u00e1s poder que nunca gracias al amparo del Grupo Volkswagen, lanza el <strong>Veyron 16.4<\/strong>, el coche que puso patas arriba todo lo que hab\u00edamos visto hasta ahora. <strong>M\u00e1s de 1000 CV, 0-100 km\/h en 2,5 s, m\u00e1s de 400 km\/h<\/strong>&#8230; Cifras m\u00e1gicas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El circuito de Ehra-Lessien fue testigo de un nuevo r\u00e9cord de velocidad. El Veyron lleg\u00f3 a m\u00e1s de 430 km\/h en su \u00faltima versi\u00f3n y unos cuantos fabricantes de deportivos se animaron a lanzar modelos que navegaban <strong>c\u00f3modamente por encima de los 400 km\/h<\/strong>. Sus nombres: Koenigsegg, Hennessey y SSC.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El r\u00e9cord actual de velocidad (obtenido como la media de dos pasadas), lo ostenta el <strong>SSC Tuatara: 455,3 km\/h<\/strong>. Mientras que el r\u00e9cord de velocidad punta (en una pasada) lo tiene el<strong> Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+: 490,5 km\/h<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Los 500 km\/h<\/strong> est\u00e1n a la vuelta de la esquina, pero tengo la impresi\u00f3n de que<strong> tardar\u00e1 en llegar el momento<\/strong> en que alg\u00fan fabricante se aventur\u00e9 a dar los \u00faltimos pasos para llegar a ella. La velocidad punta ha perdido protagonismo en favor de <strong>la aceleraci\u00f3n<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Es culpa de los el\u00e9ctricos<\/strong>. No alcanzan velocidades m\u00e1ximas espectaculares, pero te dejan pegado al siento como nunca antes hab\u00edamos experimentado. Porque para llegar a 400 km\/h hace falta mucha potencia y mucha potencia suele implicar mucha aceleraci\u00f3n. El <strong>primer veh\u00edculo del que tenemos un registro en esta prueba loca es el Bugatti Chiron<\/strong>. En agosto de 2017, Juan Pablo Montoya par\u00f3 el crono en 41,96 segundos. Nada mal, pero casi parece un chiste comparado con el r\u00e9cord actual.
