No porque fuera muy fiable (algo que desconozco), sino porque la cantidad de a\u00f1os que lleva en producci\u00f3n.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"678\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Peugeot-405-1024x678.jpg\" alt=\"Peugeot 405\" class=\"wp-image-62056\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Peugeot-405-980x648.jpg 980w, https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Peugeot-405-480x318.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lleg\u00f3 al mercado europeo en 1987 y estuvo a la venta durante unos diez a\u00f1os<\/strong>. Pasado ese periodo fue reemplazado por el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/coches\/peugeot\/406\/1999\/berlina\/informacion\">Peugeot 406<\/a>. Pero la historia del 405 no acab\u00f3 ah\u00ed, pues se sigui\u00f3 produciendo con posterioridad en otros muchos lugares del mundo donde estaba dirigido a compradores de menor poder adquisitivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En casi todos esos mercados, el Peugeot 405 ten\u00eda tracci\u00f3n delantera (recordemos que as\u00ed se concibi\u00f3 originalmente, aunque tambi\u00e9n <strong>hubo interesantes versiones 4&#215;4<\/strong>). La excepci\u00f3n es Ir\u00e1n, donde tambi\u00e9n existi\u00f3 un <strong>curioso derivado con tracci\u00f3n a las ruedas traseras <\/strong>(propulsi\u00f3n, para los m\u00e1s puristas) que se completaba con un eje r\u00edgido y ballestas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Peugeot ROA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/images_peugeot_roa_2006_1-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Peugeot ROA\" class=\"wp-image-62058\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/images_peugeot_roa_2006_1-1-980x735.jpg 980w, https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/images_peugeot_roa_2006_1-1-480x360.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta especie de Peugeot 405 de tracci\u00f3n trasera recibi\u00f3 el nombre de <strong>Peugeot ROA<\/strong> y, a d\u00eda de hoy, aunque ya est\u00e1 descatalogado, se sigue viendo en cantidades ingentes por todo Ir\u00e1n. Convive en aquel mercado con el <strong>Peugeot 405 y con el PARS<\/strong>, ambos m\u00e1s modernos desde el punto de vista t\u00e9cnico y visual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>El Peugeot ROA lo puso en el mercado IKCO (Ir\u00e1n Khodro)<\/strong>. Es una empresa local que se dedica a la fabricaci\u00f3n de coches bajo licencia de Peugeot, Hyundai o Suzuki. Uno de los modelos m\u00e1s emblem\u00e1ticos de IKCO es el Paykan (disponible entre 1969 y 2003). El Paykan es important\u00edsimo en esos lares ya que tuvo el honor de ser el <strong>primer coche iran\u00ed<\/strong> y se concibi\u00f3 con la idea de que la poblaci\u00f3n pudiera acceder de forma relativamente masiva a un coche. Hillman fue una empresa brit\u00e1nica que dio varios tumbos a lo largo de su existencia. Fue propiedad del Grupo Rootes, luego fue adquirida por Chrysler y, a finales de los a\u00f1os 70, por el PSA. El motivo es que es<strong> indispensable para comprender <\/strong>la historia del coche que nos ocupa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El IKCO Paykan estuvo disponible durante muchos a\u00f1os en el mercado iran\u00ed, pero al final de su vida comercial ya se ve\u00eda obsoleto. Por lo tanto, hab\u00eda que darle un buen lavado de cara. Otra de las condiciones que deb\u00eda cumplir este \u00abnuevo coche\u00bb era que<strong> su fabricaci\u00f3n fuera casi por completo nacional<\/strong>, y as\u00ed depender poco de mercados exteriores en tiempos de crisis pol\u00edtica.\u00a0Peugeot decidi\u00f3 hacer un \u00abFrankenstein\u00bb <strong>uniendo la base mec\u00e1nica del viejo Paykan<\/strong> (que, naturalmente, ten\u00eda tracci\u00f3n trasera) <strong>con la \u00abmoderna\u00bb carrocer\u00eda de un 405<\/strong>. Se llamar\u00eda Peugeot ROA o lo que es lo mismo, un coche con la entra\u00f1as de un veh\u00edculo de los a\u00f1os 60 con una carrocer\u00eda de los 80.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por lo tanto, el Peugeot ROA no es exactamente un 405, aunque s\u00ed guarda una fuerte relaci\u00f3n con \u00e9l. Es un muy buen ejemplo de hasta qu\u00e9 punto se puede modificar un veh\u00edculo para adaptarlo a las necesidades y gustos concretos de cada mercado.
