Durante la presentaci\u00f3n del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/00\/peugeot\/407\/t01.asp\">Peugeot 407 renovado<\/a>, he podido conducir un 403, del a\u00f1o 59.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/files\/2008\/07\/3_4_del.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Peugeot 403 de 1959\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-58\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Tiene el cambio en la columna de direcci\u00f3n. Yo aprend\u00ed a cambiar las marchas en un coche con el cambio en el volante. Eso me ha resultado familiar. De peque\u00f1o, cuando conduc\u00eda mi padre, yo iba sentado en el asiento de la derecha y cambiaba siempre las marchas con la mano izquierda. Mi padre s\u00f3lo apretaba el embrague. Menudo ni\u00f1o paliza deb\u00eda ser. El coche era un Fiat 1800, blanco con el techo azul, matr\u00edcula de Tenerife, donde nac\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>El Peugeot 403 me ha recordado mucho al Fiat que tuvimos en casa hasta que cumpl\u00ed 9 a\u00f1os y en varias cosas al Seat 850 con el que aprend\u00ed a conducir, pedales incluidos. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/files\/2008\/07\/salpicadero.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Peugeot 403\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Rememorando aquellos coches, lo que ha mejorado m\u00e1s en los turismos son los asientos. En particular el asiento del conductor. El del Peugeot 403 no sujetaba nada el cuerpo, ibas sentado como si estuvieras un banco de la calle, ten\u00edas que sujetarte en el volante y sin regulaci\u00f3n de la inclinaci\u00f3n del respaldo. Un asiento con el que no se puede conducir relajado. Hacer m\u00e1s de 200 km seguidos deb\u00eda ser un suplicio para la espalda.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/files\/2008\/07\/volante.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Peugeot 403\" width=\"450\" height=\"299\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-59\" \/><\/p>\n<p>No lleva cintur\u00f3n de seguridad, ni reposacabezas, ni sistemas de seguridad que ahora consideramos imprescindibles, que la direcci\u00f3n no es precisa, que el aro del volante es muy fino y se agarra mal y que los frenos no tienen ni la potencia ni la precisi\u00f3n de los actuales. Pero eso no es un problema mayor. La conducci\u00f3n, incluso, puede ser m\u00e1s divertida, porque hay que prestarle mayor atenci\u00f3n. A m\u00ed me gustar\u00eda hacer viajes largos con un coche as\u00ed, con la \u00fanica condici\u00f3n de llevar un asiento moderno, que sujete bien el cuerpo y ya puestos con cintur\u00f3n de seguridad y reposacabezas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nunca hab\u00eda llevado un coche tan antiguo.
