El gilipollas era un conductor (o conductora) que quer\u00eda salir de su aparcamiento en bater\u00eda y ten\u00eda que dar forzosamente marcha atr\u00e1s.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfQu\u00e9 hac\u00eda el taxista? Nada de nada para ayudar en la maniobra. Yo, a su lado, le digo:<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 no echa marcha atr\u00e1s para ayudarle a hacer la maniobra?\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Me mir\u00f3 con cara de sorpresa, no s\u00e9 si porque no esperaba que yo le hubiera o\u00eddo o porque no se le hab\u00eda ocurrido. Mir\u00f3 por el retrovisor, retrocedi\u00f3 medio metro, dej\u00f3 espacio al coche que sal\u00eda de la plaza de aparcamiento y el tr\u00e1fico se reanud\u00f3 con mayor celeridad.<\/p>\n<p>Para m\u00ed, la principal caracter\u00edstica del buen conductor es ayudar a los dem\u00e1s. No s\u00e9 por qu\u00e9 cuesta tanto encontrar a conductores que ayudan a los otros.<\/p>\n<p>En carretera, conductores que cambian de carril para facilitar la incorporaci\u00f3n a los que que vienen por la derecha, que se ponen en el carril de la derecha para facilitar el adelantamiento, que levantan el pie del acelerador para dejar hueco en el que quepan los coches que les adelantan, que se apartan al arc\u00e9n de forma ostensible cuando el coche que viene de frente se ha equivocado en un adelantamiento y no pierden el tiempo en re\u00f1irle, pitarle y hacerle luces&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>En ciudad, conductores que mueven sus coches para facilitar las maniobras de otros, que avisan de sus intenciones y ceden el paso en los cruces cuando hay atascos, que buscan el inter\u00e9s general en los cruces atascados para no enredar todav\u00eda m\u00e1s el tr\u00e1fico&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Un buen conductor es el que ayuda a los otros conductores. No es dif\u00edcil. Hacerlo nos beneficia a todos, porque a la vez que ayudamos nos ayudar\u00e1n a nosotros, a la fluidez general del tr\u00e1fico y a reducir los accidentes.<\/p>\n<p>Nunca he entendido porque algo tan sencillo y que nos beneficia a todos es tan dif\u00edcil de que ocurra.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando jugaba al baloncesto recuerdo que el entrenador nos insist\u00eda a todo el equipo en la importancia de las ayudas entre nosotros cuando un jugador quedaba descolocado en defensa. En el tr\u00e1fico todos los coches somos del mismo equipo. A todos nos beneficia ayudar al resto de coches, porque cuanto antes realicen la maniobra antes llegaremos todos a casa. Sin embargo, en las calles y en las carreteras nos comportamos todos como si los otros coches jugaran con el equipo contrario.
