Hoy, en una nueva entrada de 77retros, es turno de otro modelo ya entrado en a\u00f1os y, por qu\u00e9 no decirlo,<strong> extravangante hasta decir basta<\/strong>: el Renault Avantime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Y es que su est\u00e9tica no tiene parang\u00f3n. Podr\u00e1 gustar o no, pero lo que est\u00e1 claro es que <strong>tiene personalidad a raudales<\/strong>. \u00bfEs un monovolumen?, \u00bfun familiar?, \u00bfun SUV?, \u00bfun coup\u00e9? Hoy en d\u00eda se le podr\u00eda llamar \u00abcrossover\u00bb, pero en 2001, que es cuando se inici\u00f3 su comercializaci\u00f3n, no hab\u00eda manera de \u00abcatalogar\u00bb a un coche de estas caracter\u00edsticas. En cierto modo, se podr\u00eda decir que <strong>naci\u00f3 adelantado a su tiempo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Y precisamente por eso, junto con algunos detalles t\u00e9cnicos que retrasaron su lanzamiento y, c\u00f3mo no, su elevado precio, <strong>dieron lugar a un sonado fracaso comercial<\/strong>. Poco m\u00e1s de 8500 unidades se comercializaron entre 2001 y 2003, pero adem\u00e1s, <strong>se llev\u00f3 por delante a Matra<\/strong>, la empresa que se encarg\u00f3 de dise\u00f1arlo y producirlo (este y otros modelos de Renault).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La unidad que hemos utilizado para hacer este v\u00eddeo fue matriculada en 2002 y, en el momento de realizar las pruebas, <strong>ten\u00eda aproximadamente 250 000 kil\u00f3metros<\/strong>. Es una versi\u00f3n tope de gama, con el motor V6 de 210 caballos y el acabado Privilege, y con un mantenimiento correcto.
