Con un calor infernal, empezamos por una pista r\u00e1pida que se dejaba en pocos kil\u00f3metros para entrar en un fuera de pista con mucha hierba de camello y con la arena muy blanda. Nosotros hemos salido al tramo con las presiones un poco altas y hemos tenido tres enganchadas en la arena, en las que hemos perdido alrededor de unos quince minutos en total, pero lo peor estaba por llegar&#8230;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/etapa5_dakar_2014_1.jpg\" alt=\"etapa5_dakar_2014_1\" width=\"700\" height=\"393\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-479\" \/><br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nDespu\u00e9s de un  fuera de pista de 20 km con un rumbo calculado sobre el mapa desde el punto anterior, ten\u00edamos q encontrar un waypoint escondido, que se hac\u00eda visible en el GPS cuando entrabas en un radio de 800 m. Despu\u00e9s de buscar durante m\u00e1s de 30 minutos, no hemos sido capaces de encontrarlo y no lo hemos validado. Por este motivo tenemos una penalizaci\u00f3n de una hora en la clasificaci\u00f3n general de la etapa.<br \/>\nMe desconcentr\u00e9 despu\u00e9s de las tres atascadas porque me quede deshidratado, no ten\u00eda fuerzas y me cost\u00f3 mucho recuperarme. Me beb\u00ed mas de dos litros de agua mientras \u00edbamos pegando botes de matorral en matorral, e intentando que entrara un poco de aire para recuperarme, no me fije bien en la deriva de rumbo que llev\u00e1bamos y no supe a d\u00f3nde ir al llegar al r\u00edo seco grande. El rio seco que ten\u00eda el waypoint escondido era uno peque\u00f1o al que ten\u00edas que llegar para conectar con el grande y no encontr\u00e9 la entrada que llevaba al punto. Subimos tres veces por el rio grande, pero no hab\u00eda ninguna entrada a ning\u00fan oued secundario. Sabe mal regalar una hora despu\u00e9s de lo que cuesta ganar un minuto, pero nadie es perfecto y los copilotos tambi\u00e9n nos equivocamos. Y el que diga lo contrario miente.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/etapa5_dakar_2014_2.jpg\" alt=\"etapa5_dakar_2014_2\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-480\" \/><br \/>\nDel segundo tramo del d\u00eda s\u00f3lo hemos hecho los primeros 106 km, porque la etapa se ha acortado. Era una serie de fuera pistas muy parecidos  a Mauritania, con hierba y la base de arena, as\u00ed como r\u00edos estrechos y sinuosos de arena. Los fuera de pista eran muy bacheados y r\u00e1pidos con lo que nos hemos pasado todo el d\u00eda metidos en una batidora, y es en esos momentos cuando me doy cuenta de lo bien que funciona el coj\u00edn de aire que hemos estado desarrollando desde hace mas de 8 a\u00f1os.<br \/>\nNo s\u00e9 qu\u00e9 pasar\u00e1 con los equipos peque\u00f1os, pero creo que lo tendr\u00e1n muy complicado para llegar al final de la primera especial. Va a ser un infierno para ellos. Y veo complicado rescatar a los que rompan all\u00ed. Prometieron dureza, y dureza estamos teniendo.
