La gesta fue en agosto de 1904, sin m\u00e1s material de escalada que una cuerda de c\u00e1\u00f1amo y con los pies descalzos, al menos el pastor.<\/p>\n<p>Gregorio P\u00e9rez, <a href=\"https:\/\/seracguias.com\/index.php\/la-primera-escalada-al-naranjo-de-bulnes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lo relataba as\u00ed<\/a>: \u00abbaj\u00e9 onde estaba \u00e9l y nos amarremos bien uno por cada punta de soga; como yo estaba ya descalzo, mis pies pegaban bien a la pe\u00f1a, pero tambi\u00e9n \u00fa mejor pegaban las alpargatas de D. Merece una lectura, o varias. Los motivos del marqu\u00e9s los tenemos bien claros: ser el primer ser humano en pisar la cumbre del Naranjo de Bulnes. De hecho, \u00e9l cuenta que \u00abcuando el embudo se abri\u00f3 y la vertical empez\u00f3 a dejar de serlo, yo me desat\u00e9 la cuerda, que abandon\u00e9 al <strong>Cainejo<\/strong> (Gregorio P\u00e9rez, nacido en la aldea de Ca\u00edn), pas\u00e9 a este, y saltando, loco, ebrio de placer y de entusiasmo, enton\u00e9, al llegar a la cumbre, el m\u00e1s formidable \u00a1hurra! que di en los d\u00edas de mi vida\u2026 Era la una y cuarto de la tarde.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, nada sabemos de los motivos del pastor. \u00bfSer\u00eda tambi\u00e9n ambici\u00f3n?<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u00bb4.9.9&#8243; _module_preset=\u00bbdefault\u00bb locked=\u00bboff\u00bb global_colors_info=\u00bb{}\u00bb]<\/p>\n<p>Sin coches y sin caminos, el marqu\u00e9s y el pastor quiz\u00e1 hubieran podido subir en mulo hasta el pie de del Naranjo, pero el hecho es que subieron a pie desde <strong>Poncebos<\/strong>, cuya altitud ronda los 200 metros. Desde all\u00ed fueron a <strong>Bulnes<\/strong>, subieron por el <strong>Canal del Camburero<\/strong>, donde durmieron a 1300 metros de altitud. De all\u00ed al pie del Naranjo, a unos 2000 metros y 500 metros m\u00e1s hasta la cumbre. Hoy en d\u00eda, gracias al coche y a los caminos, desde Pand\u00e9bano hasta el refugio el desnivel es de unos 900 metros.<\/p>\n<p>No digo yo que no, ni que s\u00ed, pero al escribir sobre este asunto me planteo la posibilidad de que el \u00ab<strong>Equipo Kia<\/strong>\u00bb suba por la <strong>Pidal\/Cainejo<\/strong>, que as\u00ed se llama la v\u00eda que inauguraron estos dos hombres a comienzos del siglo pasado. En su relato, el Cainejo refiere que \u00abD. Pedro se dirigi\u00f3 a la Hermida, donde le esperaba el coche; nos despedimos amorosamente y yo me volv\u00ed por Bulnes para mi casa\u00bb \u00bfDe qu\u00e9 coche se tratar\u00eda?<\/p>\n<p>En 1904 ya hab\u00eda alg\u00fan coche en Espa\u00f1a, aunque eran poco habituales. Sabemos, y lo sabemos por la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/nuestra-tierra\/lugo-minas-hierro-transporte\/\">historia de las minas de carb\u00f3n de Pontenova<\/a>, que <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pontenova.es\/2017\/12\/historia-de-las-minas-de-villaodrid-4.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">en 1904 hab\u00eda un coche con motor de combusti\u00f3n en Ribadeo<\/a>.\u00a0 \u00bfSer\u00eda tambi\u00e9n de combusti\u00f3n el que esperaba al marqu\u00e9s de Villaviciosa o se referir\u00eda el pastor a un coche de caballos?<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=\u00bbhttps:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/refugio-urriellu.jpg\u00bb title_text=\u00bbRefugio de Urriellu\u00bb align=\u00bbcenter\u00bb _builder_version=\u00bb4.9.10&#8243; _module_preset=\u00bbdefault\u00bb global_colors_info=\u00bb{}\u00bb][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u00bb4.9.9&#8243; _module_preset=\u00bbdefault\u00bb locked=\u00bboff\u00bb global_colors_info=\u00bb{}\u00bb]<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La construcci\u00f3n de un refugio<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u00bb4.9.9&#8243; _module_preset=\u00bbdefault\u00bb locked=\u00bboff\u00bb global_colors_info=\u00bb{}\u00bb]<\/p>\n<p>Cuando Pedro Pidal y Gregorio P\u00e9rez subieron al Naranjo de Bulnes, no hab\u00eda refugio ni falta que les hac\u00eda. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.refugiodeurriellu.com\/web\/El-Refugio-Historia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">El refugio se inaugur\u00f3 justo 50 a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s<\/a>. Se construy\u00f3 a mediados del siglo pasado. Hace poco menos de 70 a\u00f1os.\u00a0 \u00abLa obra empez\u00f3 en el verano de 1953; al ser \u00e9ste de enorme sequ\u00eda, fue necesario traer nieve en sacos desde el jou Sin Tierra, y subir le\u00f1a para fundirla desde Bulnes o desde el monte La Varera. <strong>El cemento y las vigas fueron porteadas a hombros desde puente Poncebos, por Bulnes, Cambureru y jou Lluengu, salvando un desnivel de 1700 m, pagando 3 pesetas por cada kilo depositado en la Vega de Urriellu<\/strong>. En cuarenta y siete d\u00edas se logra cerrar aguas y terminar las obras principales a finales de Septiembre. El capataz y responsable de las obras fue el pe\u00f1alaro <strong>Te\u00f3genes D\u00edaz<\/strong>. Fue inaugurado el 5 de agosto de 1954 coincidiendo con el 50\u00ba aniversario de la 1\u00aa escalada al Picu Urriellu o Naranjo de Bulnes.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Cuarenta a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, el refugio fue transformado: \u00abEl actual edificio se construy\u00f3 a lo largo de los veranos y oto\u00f1os de 1989 a 1990. El transporte de materiales fue realizado por un helic\u00f3ptero Chinook del Ej\u00e9rcito de Tierra y otros alquilados.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>En s\u00f3lo 40 a\u00f1os pasamos de transportar cemento y vigas al hombro, a tres pesetas el kilogramo, a llevarlas en helic\u00f3ptero. Son los a\u00f1os de la motorizaci\u00f3n en Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p>En la actualidad, seg\u00fan me han contado los cuidadores del refugio, los elementos perecederos se suben todav\u00eda a diario en mulo, de lunes a viernes. Los mulos suben de dos en dos, de un equipo de cuatro animales. Suben un d\u00eda y descansan al siguiente. La persona responsable de conducir las mulas \u00aben n\u00f3mina, como t\u00fa y como yo\u00bb sube y baja a diario. Por el camino desde Pand\u00e9bano al refugio llegu\u00e9 a dudar de que las mulas pudieran trepar cargadas por algunos puntos y me plante\u00e9 c\u00f3mo llegar\u00eda la comida al refugio cada d\u00eda. Los mulos tienen m\u00e1s capacidad de la que yo imagino. Es normal. No tengo ninguna experiencia de transporte con mulos.<\/p>\n<p>Para el resto de alimentos, los no perecederos, una vez al a\u00f1o sube un helic\u00f3ptero, a principios de temporada, con una carga de alrededor de ocho toneladas.
