Con este modelo, reemplazar\u00e1 al Tucson desde primavera de 2010. Hyundai adelant\u00f3 el aspecto y ciertas caracter\u00edsticas del ix35 con el prototipo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/engendro-mecanico\/\/2254\/hyundai-ix-onic-el-adelanto-del-proximo-tucson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ix-onic Concept<\/a>.<br \/>\nLa gama de motores europea no ha sido confirmada. En otros mercados, estar\u00e1 disponible con un 2,0 l de gasolina de 166 CV y con un 2,0 l Diesel de 184 CV. Adem\u00e1s, podr\u00e1 elegirse con tracci\u00f3n delantera o total.<br \/>\nEl prototipo llevaba un motor de gasolina, con inyecci\u00f3n directa, turbocompresor, 1,6 l de cilindrada y 170 CV de potencia m\u00e1xima, unido a un cambo autom\u00e1tico de doble embargue.
