Ser\u00e1 mec\u00e1nicamente semejante al 3008 h\u00edbrido, previsto para las mismas fechas, es decir, tendr\u00e1 un motor Diesel y otro el\u00e9ctrico.<br \/>\nEl motor Diesel estar\u00e1 acoplado a las ruedas delanteras y el el\u00e9ctrico a las traseras; por lo que el RCZ h\u00edbrido tendr\u00e1 tracci\u00f3n total. El motor Diesel es el 2,0 l HDI de 163 CV, mientras que el el\u00e9ctrico da 37 CV de potencia m\u00e1xima. El cambio es autom\u00e1tico de seis velocidades.<br \/>\nEl motor el\u00e9ctrico funciona en solitario en las fases que requieren poca potencia: puesta en marcha, circulando a baja velocidad y deceleraciones. Adem\u00e1s, tambi\u00e9n entra en funcionamiento, para ayudar al motor t\u00e9rmico y aumentar la potencia, cuando se requiere una fuerte aceleraci\u00f3n, por ejemplo, para realizar un adelantamiento.<br \/>\nEl RCZ h\u00edbrido tiene unas prestaciones buenas: alcanza una velocidad m\u00e1xima de 215 km\/h y acelera de 0 a 100 km\/h en 8,5 s.
