El diario de Themis (V), Etapa 3."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nos vamos a llamar el equipo \u00abUna de cal, una de arena\u00bb. Si en la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/engendro-mecanico\/\/3226\/km77-com-en-el-eco-desafio-burn-el-diario-de-themis-iii-etapa-1\/\">primera etapa<\/a> quedamos pen\u00faltimos y en la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/engendro-mecanico\/\/3243\/km77-com-en-el-eco-desafio-burn-el-diario-de-themis-iv-etapa-2\/\">segunda<\/a> primeros, en la tercera la hemos vuelto a pifiar. Ha sido una etapa chulis\u00edma, siguiendo las vi\u00f1etas y con s\u00f3lo dos <em>waypoints<\/em> metidos en el navegador. Es decir, nos dan un libro de ruta con las distancias entre unos puntos y un dibujito con alguna referencia de lo que hab\u00eda en ese punto (un cruce, una palmera, unas dunas&#8230;)<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3258\" title=\"IMG_0416\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMG_0416.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" \/><br \/>\nLa etapa ha comenzado por la pista que utilizaban los equipos para entrenar el Dakar y que est\u00e1 muy estropeada. Luego hemos bajado por un barranco muy estrecho (\u00bfa alguien le suena ver en la tele a los camiones del Dakar pasando por ah\u00ed? y que conduce a una pista que queda entre Argelia y Marruecos, con puestos militares de control a ambos lados. Hemos tenido que parar en uno donde hemos charlado con el militar que hab\u00eda muy simp\u00e1tico y que era seguidor del Bar\u00e7a. Ha comprobado quienes \u00e9ramos y nos ha dejado marchar.<br \/>\nUnos kil\u00f3metros despu\u00e9s hemos tenido nuestro primer contacto con las dunas. Y tambi\u00e9n es d\u00f3nde hemos tenido unos problemas de navegaci\u00f3n. Nada que no se solucione subi\u00e9ndose a la duna.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3267\" title=\"IMG_0427\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMG_04271.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"461\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMG_04271.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMG_04271-480x316.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 700px, 100vw\" \/><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nPoco despu\u00e9s entramos en una zona de dunas y tras rodearlas entramos en un rio de arena. Un rio de arena es un cauce seco que, obviamente, es de arena. El cauce es en algunos puntos muy ancho, tanto que nosotros hemos pasado a 1,8 km de un punto de control oculto (no aparecen en el GPS) y por el que se supone que, siguiendo bien las indicaciones, se debe pasar. Nosotros nos equivocamos en alg\u00fan momento y circulamos en paralelo a ese punto dentro del cauce, lo cual nos supuso una penalizaci\u00f3n de 10 km y 10 litros. El resto de la ruta fue por dentro del cauce, por zonas muy bonitas.<br \/>\nNuestro <a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/00\/ford\/ranger\/2012\/pickup-motores-precio.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ford Ranger<\/a> sigue sin dar el m\u00e1s m\u00ednimo problema. Y encima est\u00e1 resultando c\u00f3modo, algo que no imagin\u00e1bamos dado que lleva ballestas en la suspensi\u00f3n trasera.<br \/>\nPor la tarde, aprovechamos que a 100 metros del hotel est\u00e1n las dunas del Erg Chebbi para practicar un poco. En la arena hay que bajar la presi\u00f3n de las ruedas. Nosotros para ir por carretera\/pista llevamos 2,6 pero para las dunas la bajamos hasta 1,2 bar, as\u00ed el neum\u00e1tico se deforma, aumenta la superficie de contacto y la presi\u00f3n sobre la arena es menor.\u00a0 Es todo lo contrario a lo que se hace para ir por nieve: en arena hay que \u00abflotar\u00bb por encima, sin hundir la rueda mientras que en la nieve se busca lo contrario.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3265\" title=\"IMG_0851\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMG_0851.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMG_0851.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/IMG_0851-480x320.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 700px, 100vw\" \/><br \/>\nLo de las dunas parece muy f\u00e1cil pero no lo es, o al menos a m\u00ed no me lo parece. No es un tema de quedarse enganchado, el problema es saber por d\u00f3nde ir. Resulta que las dunas tienen dos caras, una con pendiente m\u00e1s o menos suave y otra que es una pared casi vertical. El saber distinguir una y otra y enlazar una duna con la siguiente requiere experiencia y, a\u00fan con eso, no es dif\u00edcil tener un susto (que puede ser peque\u00f1o o grande).
