Este dispositivo permite poner el motor t\u00e9rmico en marcha con m\u00e1s suavidad y tambi\u00e9n recuperar m\u00e1s energ\u00eda que un alternador. Adem\u00e1s, puede accionar el compresor del aire acondicionado, lo que resulta muy interesante si el coche est\u00e1 detenido y el sistema <a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/glosario\/s\/stopstart.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stop&amp;Start<\/a> ha parado el motor.<br \/>\nLa energ\u00eda regenerada va a una bater\u00eda de iones de litio de 48 V, que la almacena para suministrar a su vez electricidad a la bater\u00eda de 12 V o para accionar la m\u00e1quina el\u00e9ctrica cuando tiene que poner en marcha el motor t\u00e9rmico, el compresor del aire acondicionado, la bomba del freno y la de la direcci\u00f3n.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2811\" title=\"Audi-iHEV\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Audi-iHEV1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"495\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Audi-iHEV1.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Audi-iHEV1-480x339.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 700px, 100vw\" \/><br \/>\nCombinando este sistema con la navegaci\u00f3n, es decir, utilizando los datos sobre la orograf\u00eda y los l\u00edmites de velocidad, es posible lograr un mayor aprovechamiento energ\u00e9tico. Audi lo llama PEA (<em>predictive efficiency assistant<\/em>).
