La producci\u00f3n de esta serie especial comenzar\u00e1 en <strong>julio de 2009<\/strong> y estar\u00e1 limitada a seis meses.<br \/>\nRespecto al M3 normal, tiene <strong>detalles est\u00e9ticos espec\u00edficos<\/strong> (tanto en el exterior como en el interior) y <strong>cambios en la suspensi\u00f3n<\/strong>.<br \/>\nEl M3 Edition Models se podr\u00e1 elegir en cuatro colores exteriores: \u00abBlanco Alpino\u00bb, \u00abNegro\u00bb, \u00abAmarillo Dakar\u00bb y \u00abAzul Monte Carlo\u00bb.<br \/>\nEn el interior, la parte superior del t\u00fanel de la transmisi\u00f3n, el apoyabrazos central delantero, parte de los asientos y los paneles de las puertas van tapizados en cuero, de un tono a juego con el color exterior elegido para la carrocer\u00eda. Los asientos, de tipo deportivo, van tapizados en cuero de color negro.<br \/>\nEl motor no cambia: sigue siendo un <strong>4.0 V8 con 420 CV de potencia m\u00e1xima<\/strong>, que podr\u00e1 unirse a un <strong>cambio manual o a uno autom\u00e1tico de doble embrague<\/strong>. Con este motor y el cambio autom\u00e1tico, el M3 tiene unas <strong>prestaciones excepcionales<\/strong> (250 km\/h de velocidad m\u00e1xima y 4,6 s en el 0-100 km) y un consumo moderado (11,9 l\/100 km).<br \/>\nLa suspensi\u00f3n ha sido ligeramente modificada: ahora deja la carrocer\u00eda 10 mm m\u00e1s cerca del suelo.
