Se pondr\u00e1 a la venta en Europa a lo largo de 2009.<br \/>\nEl motor es un cuatro cilindros con 1,6 l de cilindrada y 99 CV de potencia m\u00e1xima. Es una variante modificada del motor 1,6 l de 102 CV que lleva el Golf (y otros modelos del Grupo Volkswagen).<br \/>\nSeg\u00fan el fabricante alem\u00e1n, la diferencia de usar LPG respecto de usar gasolina, es que se emiten un 80 % menos de CO y de \u00f3xido de nitr\u00f3geno (NOx), y las emisiones de CO2 se reducen en un 15 %. Con gas natural, el Golf consume 9,2 l\/100 km (que equivale a unas emisiones de 149 g\/km CO2). Con gasolina gasta 7,1 l y emite 169 g\/km de CO2).<br \/>\nEl dep\u00f3sito de gas natural va colocado en el hueco que en otros Golf va destinado a la rueda de repuesto. Tiene una capacidad para almacenar 48 l de gas natural a una presi\u00f3n de 8 a 10 bar. El dep\u00f3sito de gasolina tiene 55 l.
