Es el mismo motor que llevan el MINI y el 308.<br \/>\nCon este motor, Citro\u00ebn reemplaza al que tiene la versi\u00f3n 1.8i (1,7 l de 125 CV); aunque de momento, \u00e9ste \u00faltimo sigue estando disponible hasta fin de existencias. Con el nuevo motor, tiene unas prestaciones ligeramente peores, pero consume 0,5 l menos.<br \/>\nEl Picasso VTI lleva cambio manual de cinco velocidades. A diferencia de otras versiones de la gama, no puede tener los cambios autom\u00e1tico \u00abCAS\u00bb ni \u00abCMP\u00bb.<br \/>\nAdem\u00e1s, introduce un nuevo nivel de equipamiento b\u00e1sico, denominado \u00abCool\u00bb.
