Aunque lleva menos de un a\u00f1o en el mercado, Subaru ha decidido aumentar la potencia del motor y hacer algunos retoques mec\u00e1nicos y est\u00e9ticos.<br \/>\nEl motor del nuevo WRX es el mismo que antes: un cuatro cilindros en disposici\u00f3n B\u00f3xer, con turbocompresor. Ahora, alcanza una potencia m\u00e1xima de 265 HP (40 CV m\u00e1s, es decir, unos 270 CV en total, seg\u00fan la homologaci\u00f3n europea).<br \/>\nComo el modelo de 2008, el WRX 2009 tiene tracci\u00f3n total con autoblocante mec\u00e1nico y cambio manual de cinco velocidades (con reductora).<br \/>\nSubaru tambi\u00e9n ha realizado cambios en la suspensi\u00f3n (con muelles m\u00e1s firmes y estabilizadoras m\u00e1s gruesas) y en el aspecto exterior de la carrocer\u00eda (para asemejarlo al de la versi\u00f3n STI). Los neum\u00e1ticos\u00a0son m\u00e1s anchos y con menos perfil (225\/45 R17 en vez de 205\/50 R17).<br \/>\nNo ser\u00eda extra\u00f1o que Subaru aumentara la potencia del motor de la versi\u00f3n WRX STI del Impreza, ya que ahora se quedar\u00e1 s\u00f3lo 30 CV por encima del WRX. Durante el pasado Sal\u00f3n de Londres (julio de 2008), Subaru mostr\u00f3 dos prototipos del WRX STI con 330 y 380 CV.<br \/>\nPor cierto, aprovecho esta noticia, para comentaros que Subaru ha dicho que vender\u00e1 el Impreza de cuatro puertas en Espa\u00f1a.
