Jaguar en su comunicado solo ha mencionado que en una superficie relativamente blanda como la del desierto Hakskeen Pan, en el Cabo del Norte de Sud\u00e1frica, el nuevo Jaguar F-Type R AWD ha alcanzado una velocidad m\u00e1xima limitada a 300 km\/h (186 mph) y ha acelerado desde parado hasta los 100 km\/h en 3,9 segundos.<br \/>\nEl Jaguar F-TYPE R Coup\u00e9 de tracci\u00f3n trasera que est\u00e1 a la venta en Espa\u00f1a desde 119 070 \u20ac (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/precios\/buscar?marcas=jaguar&amp;modelos=f-type&amp;denominaciones=coupe&amp;estado=3&amp;anyo=2013\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">listado de precios<\/a>), tiene un motor de gasolina V8 de 5,0 litros que desarrolla una potencia m\u00e1xima de 550 CV (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/01\/jaguar\/f-type\/coupe\/2014\/informacion-precio-303593-p.html?gexp=1&amp;utm_expid=9604138-6.ef0G6IamSm6T9NYDySV87g.1&amp;utm_referrer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.km77.com%2F00%2Fjaguar%2F0portada%2Fp01.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">m\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n<\/a>). Ambas tienen un motor de gasolina de seis cilindros situados en \u00abuve\u00bb y 3,0 litros de cilindrada. Al igual que el modelo m\u00e1s potente, estos dos motores tienen sobrealimentaci\u00f3n mediante <a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/glosario\/c\/compresores.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">compresor<\/a>. Actualmente el r\u00e9cord est\u00e1 en 1227,986 km\/h (763,035 mph), conseguido en el a\u00f1o 1997 por el equipo Thrust SSC. El objetivo marcado no es solo superarlo, es establecer un nuevo registro de velocidad m\u00e1xima en 1609,344 km\/h, es decir, 1000 mph.
