Un modelo basado en el Serie 1 lanzado en 2012 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/00\/bmw\/1\/2012\/bmw-serie1-precios.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">m\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n<\/a>), con el que comparte piezas de su estructura, algunos motores y elementos de equipamiento. Desde el momento de su lanzamiento, el cup\u00e9 se puede adquirir con dos motores de gasolina \u2014de 184 CV (220i) y de 326 CV (M235i)\u2014 y tres Diesel \u2014de 143 CV (218d), de 184 CV (220d) y de 218 CV (225d)\u2014. Seg\u00fan BMW ambas cajas de cambio tienen ahora transiciones m\u00e1s suaves y menos vibraciones.<br \/>\nEl motor Diesel es el mismo que monta la versi\u00f3n 220d de la variante descapotable (<a title=\"220d cabrio\" href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/precios\/bmw\/serie-2\/2015\/220d-cabrio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ficha t\u00e9cnica<\/a>). Respecto al anterior (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/precios\/bmw\/serie-2\/2014\/220d-coupe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ficha t\u00e9cnica<\/a>), mantiene la cilindrada de 1995 cm<sup>3<\/sup>, la relaci\u00f3n de compresi\u00f3n (16:5), as\u00ed como el sistema de inyecci\u00f3n directa por conducto com\u00fan. Est\u00e1 sobrealimentado mediante un turbocompresor. El motor ahora ofrece 190 CV (6 CV extra) y un par m\u00e1ximo de 400 Nm (20 Nm m\u00e1s).<br \/>\nBMW ha mejorado el sistema de geometr\u00eda variable, ha reducido la fricci\u00f3n interna y ha incorporado un nuevo c\u00e1rter de aluminio. Adem\u00e1s, se ha reducido el peso en torno a 2 kilogramos. El tiempo empleado en acelerar desde parado hasta los 100 km\/h es de 7,1 segundos en la versi\u00f3n con cambio manual \u2014mejora 0,1 s respecto al actual\u2014 y de 7,0 segundos con la transmisi\u00f3n autom\u00e1tica \u2014tambi\u00e9n mejora en 0,1 s\u2014.<br \/>\nEl consumo medio de carburante se reduce en 0,4 l\/100 km con ambas transmisiones. Con\u00a0 el cambio manual, BMW cita que, el Serie 2 tiene un consumo medio de 4,1 l\/100 km\u00a0 que equivalen a 107 g\/km de part\u00edculas de\u00a0CO<sub>2<\/sub> emitidas a la atm\u00f3sfera.
