Era muy f\u00e1cil equivocarse de r\u00edo. Luego pas\u00e1bamos por una zona de salares, muy r\u00e1pida, antes de llegar a las dunas de Iquique, rematadas con una bajada espectacular.<br \/>\nResultaba bastante complicado abrir pista y al principio lo hemos ido haciendo bien. Sin embargo, en un sitio en teor\u00eda f\u00e1cil nos hemos despistado. Hab\u00eda que girar a la derecha para coger una pista y lo hemos hecho, pero el camino bueno era una pista paralela un poco m\u00e1s a la derecha. La primera referencia a partir de ese punto ha coincidido, pero la segunda ya no, con lo que nos hemos dado cuenta que \u00edbamos mal y hab\u00eda que recortar hacia la derecha para encontrar el camino bueno, haciendo un fuera de pistabastant complicado. Al Attiyah y Peterhansel ven\u00edan detr\u00e1s, por el mismo camino que nosotros. Al ver que los dos primeros nos \u00edbamos a la derecha, Peterhansel ha recortado antes por un sitio m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil y nos ha adelantado a ambos.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/etapa5.jpg\" alt=\"etapa5\" title=\"etapa5\" width=\"700\" height=\"466\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-225\" \/><br \/>\nA partir de ah\u00ed nos hemos dedicado a seguirle hasta que se ha despistado en un cruce y le hemos vuelto a adelantar. Nuevamente primeros, hemos apretado el ritmo para recuperar el tiempo perdido. Peterhansel, intentando seguirnos ha pinchado. Al llegar a las dunas ten\u00edamos una moto delante que ha dudado y, por no darle por detr\u00e1s, Carlos ha frenado y nos hemos atascado, perdiendo unos dos minutos.<br \/>\nDe cara a ma\u00f1ana se presenta otra etapa muy complicada en la que abrir\u00e1 Peterhansel. A nosotros nos habr\u00eda ido bien salir justo detr\u00e1s de \u00e9l para controlarle, pero tenemos en medio a Al Attiyah.
