Un modelo dise\u00f1ado para intentar el asalto al t\u00edtulo en las prestigiosas 24 horas de Le Mans en las que tanto Porsche como Ferrari, y el vigente campe\u00f3n Aston Martin estrenaron mec\u00e1nicas y muchas mejoras la temporada pasada. Eso releg\u00f3 al equipo Corvette Racing a terminar en una discreta octava y novena posici\u00f3n (en su categor\u00eda. En la general finalizaron 39 y 41 respectivamente), por detr\u00e1s incluso de algunos veh\u00edculos de la categor\u00eda GTE Am.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-21054\" alt=\"201\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/2013-1024x678.jpg\" width=\"614\" height=\"406\" \/><\/p>\n<p>El nuevo Corvette Z06 comparte muchos elementos con el modelo de competici\u00f3n, bautizado como C7.R. Al fin y al cabo es el modelo base para este C7.R que a su vez lo ser\u00e1 de una futura versi\u00f3n m\u00e1s prestacional, una te\u00f3rica versi\u00f3n ZR1 (si en Chevrolet mantienen las denominaciones utilizadas en la generaci\u00f3n anterior). Uno de estos elementos que comparten es el <strong>chasis fabricado en aluminio<\/strong>. Para la versi\u00f3n de carreras, es un 40% m\u00e1s r\u00edgido que la versi\u00f3n precedente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-21055\" alt=\"202\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/2022-1024x677.jpg\" width=\"614\" height=\"406\" \/><\/p>\n<p>La mayor novedad del Corvette C7.R es que tiene un <strong>motor de inyecci\u00f3n directa<\/strong>. En este caso s\u00ed existen diferencias respecto al modelo de calle. Ambos son un ocho cilindros en \u00abV\u00bb aunque el de competici\u00f3n, para adaptarse a la normativa de la FIA, tiene un cubicaje de 5,5 litros en lugar de tener 6,2 litros como el de calle. Solo conocemos eso ya que no han desvelado ning\u00fan dato t\u00e9cnico m\u00e1s del nuevo V8.<br \/>\nSeg\u00fan informa Chevrolet, la inyecci\u00f3n directa permite al piloto un control de la aceleraci\u00f3n m\u00e1s preciso y un ahorro en el consumo de combustible. Compar\u00e1ndolo con el Corvette C6.R, Chevrolet estima que en una carrera de 24 horas son capaces de realizar una parada menos para repostar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-21056\" alt=\"203\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/2031-1024x678.jpg\" width=\"614\" height=\"407\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Respecto a la aerodin\u00e1mica, Chevrolet ha trabajado para mejorar y redise\u00f1ar las entradas de aire y hacer que el Corvette C7.R tenga una mayor estabilidad y una mejor refrigeraci\u00f3n. En este aspecto, el modelo de calle se ha visto beneficiado ya que seg\u00fan ha informado Chevrolet, el nuevo Corvette Z06 es el modelo de calle que mayor carga aerodin\u00e1mica ha generado en el t\u00fanel del viento de GM.<br \/>\nLas diferencias entre el modelo de calle y el de competici\u00f3n son apreciables a simple vista, un aler\u00f3n trasero de mayor tama\u00f1o, salidas de escape situadas debajo del habit\u00e1culo, a ambos lados en lugar de estar situadas en la parte posterior y unos pasos de rueda sobredimensionados para dar cabida a los neum\u00e1ticos de competici\u00f3n y a un sistema de frenos m\u00e1s potente.
