Era un modelo que estaba basado en el Volvo 850.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nEn 2002 la versi\u00f3n cup\u00e9 dejo de comercializarse, mientras que el descapotable permaneci\u00f3 a la venta hasta el a\u00f1o 2006, que fue sustituido por la segunda generaci\u00f3n del C70 presentada en el Sal\u00f3n de Francfort de 2005. Adem\u00e1s de los grandes cambios est\u00e9ticos, la mayor novedad era que montaba un techo r\u00edgido plegable de tres piezas.<br \/>\nEl modelo que ha estado a la venta hasta ahora era una actualizaci\u00f3n de la segunda generaci\u00f3n. Lo que m\u00e1s cambiaba en este modelo respecto al <a href=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/00\/volvo\/c70\/t01.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">C70 de 2006<\/a> era el aspecto de la carrocer\u00eda por su parte anterior y posterior.
