Materiales ligeros."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">En palabras de BMW, \u00abEfficientDynamics es el hilo conductor que atraviesa todos los sectores dedicados al desarrollo de modelos nuevos. Los pilares que sustentan esta estrategia son el aumento constante del grado de eficiencia de los motores de combusti\u00f3n, el desarrollo continuo de la tecnolog\u00eda ActiveHybrid, la aplicaci\u00f3n de conceptos innovadores en materia de movilidad el\u00e9ctrica, el uso a largo plazo de hidr\u00f3geno como agente energ\u00e9tico producido de modo regenerativo, la utilizaci\u00f3n inteligente de materiales ligeros y la optimizaci\u00f3n de las propiedades aerodin\u00e1micas\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Recientemente acud\u00ed a una jornada t\u00e9cnica organizada por BMW en la que cinco seminarios ten\u00edan como motivo recurrente el t\u00e9rmino <em>EfficientDynamics<\/em>. \u00a0Tras un \u201cpeque\u00f1o\u201d madrug\u00f3n para poder estar en Munich a las 10 de la ma\u00f1ana, comenzamos con el primero, relacionado con la investigaci\u00f3n y el empleo de nuevos materiales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">El autom\u00f3vil cada vez tiene que cumplir normativas se seguridad m\u00e1s exigentes y los clientes requieren m\u00e1s equipamiento. Todo ello conlleva un aumento de peso, un enemigo a la hora de conseguir unos consumos reducidos y, por ende, unas menores emisiones contaminantes, verdadero caballo de batalla en la actualidad para cualquier fabricante (emisiones elevadas impiden cumplir normativas o conllevan unas tasas fiscales m\u00e1s elevadas, lo que encarece el producto).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Algunos ejemplos son el empleo de fibra de carbono para la fabricaci\u00f3n del cap\u00f3 (el que nos mostraron pertenec\u00eda a un M3 de ensayo pero BMW ya utiliza carbono en, por ejemplo, el techo del M3. El peso de este cap\u00f3 es 3,3 kg m\u00e1s la pintura, que hacen un total de 5 kg; mientras que uno convencional de acero pesa 18 kg. La fibra de carbono se obtiene de los recortes sobrantes en la  fabricaci\u00f3n de otras estructuras de mayor tama\u00f1o; la rigidez de las  piezas resultantes es similar a la de acero y su peso un 75 por ciento  inferior.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1212   aligncenter\" title=\"capo-fibra-carbono\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/capo-fibra-carbono.jpg\" alt=\"capo-fibra-carbono\" width=\"700\" height=\"334\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/capo-fibra-carbono.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/capo-fibra-carbono-480x229.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 700px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Otro material que se emplea cada vez m\u00e1s es el aluminio. Por ejemplo, las puertas del Serie 5 son de este material y permiten ahorrar 23 kg respecto a unas equivalentes en chapa de acero. O el techo del Serie 7, que supone un ahorro de 5 kg, y el port\u00f3n trasero de un Serie 5 Gran Turismo, que es de fundici\u00f3n de aluminio y reduce el peso en 13 kg frente al acero.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1216  alignnone\" title=\"puerta aluminio\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/puerta-aluminio.jpg\" alt=\"puerta aluminio\" width=\"700\" height=\"748\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/puerta-aluminio.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/puerta-aluminio-480x513.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 700px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Otros lugares en donde se utiliza el aluminio u otros materiales ligeros son:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">&#8211; El soporte de la torreta de la suspensi\u00f3n delantera (- 5 kg).<br \/>\n&#8211; El card\u00e1n de la transmisi\u00f3n incluyendo sus engranajes frontales (0,8 kilogramos menos en el caso de los modelos equipados con el sistema de tracci\u00f3n total xDrive).<br \/>\n&#8211; El tubo exterior de magnesio de la columna de la direcci\u00f3n (reducci\u00f3n de 2 kg, queda en 4,1). Antes era de aluminio, magnesio y hierro.<br \/>\n&#8211; El apoyo de material sint\u00e9tico de los pedales y el pedal del embrague de material sint\u00e9tico (pesa 2,2 kg, 1,5 menos).<br \/>\n&#8211; El soporte transversal de termopl\u00e1stico reforzado con fibra de vidrio de la caja de cambios (1 kg de ahorro).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Adem\u00e1s del empleo de materiales ligeros, BMW trabaja en nuevos dise\u00f1os de piezas que tambi\u00e9n contribuyan a la reducci\u00f3n de peso. Por ejemplo, un sistema de freno compuesto por una pinza de aluminio y un disco de estructura  reticulada tiene un peso 8 kg menos que los discos convencionales que utiliza actualmente BMW con discos de freno  aligerados, soporte y pinza de aluminio.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1213 aligncenter\" title=\"freno\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/freno.jpg\" alt=\"freno\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/freno.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/freno-480x320.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 700px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Otra forma de  reducir el peso se logra con los nuevos aislamientos ac\u00fasticos de los  motores Diesel.
