Es el Passat EcoFuel. Funciona como un coche de gasolina. A uno le dicen que en lugar de gasolina es gas natural y se lo cree. Yo me lo creo, al menos.<\/p>\n<p>La verdad es que si me quer\u00edan enga\u00f1ar, el montaje completo estaba muy bien hecho. Al circular, en el cuadro de instrumentos, aparece el consumo instant\u00e1neo y el promedio en kg\/100 km en lugar del habitual de litros\/100 km.<\/p>\n<p>Esta foto del cuadro la hice en marcha. Es la versi\u00f3n con cambio DSG (de siete velocidades).<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/files\/2009\/02\/salpicadero.jpg\" alt=\"Passat EcoFuel. DSG 7v.\" title=\"Passat EcoFuel. DSG 7v.\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Esta foto da mucha informaci\u00f3n. Un dato (aparentemente irrelevante) es que fuera hac\u00eda fr\u00edo. En la foto no se ve, pero hab\u00eda un poco de nieve en las carreteras. <\/p>\n<p>Otro dato, muy relevante es el D7 que aparece arriba a la derecha del rect\u00e1ngulo central del cuadro. Iba con la versi\u00f3n DSG en s\u00e9ptima velocidad. Tambi\u00e9n a la derecha, abajo, consta que llevaba 4,8 km recorridos con esa unidad y en el centro que el consumo promedio era de 5,5 kg\/100 km.<\/p>\n<p>Que el dato de consumo sea en kilogramos en lugar de en litros no es una prueba definitiva de que sea un coche movido por gas natural, pero parece un indicio serio. Todav\u00eda podr\u00eda ser un montaje, pero cuidado con mucho detalle. Otra pista, que tambi\u00e9n podr\u00eda ser un montaje, es el doble indicador de dep\u00f3sito de combustible. A la izquierda, con el anagrama en verde, se ve el dep\u00f3sito de gas natural. Completamente lleno. En teor\u00eda, ese dep\u00f3sito es el que suministra el combustible con el que circula el coche. (Despu\u00e9s del recorrido de unos 27 km me fij\u00e9 y la aguja hab\u00eda bajado liger\u00edsimamente)<\/p>\n<p>Todav\u00eda hay m\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n en esa foto. Si los indicadores no tienen mucho error, el Passat EcoFuel en s\u00e9ptima marcha, va a 99 km\/h a 2.000 rpm. Si no hubiera error, el desarrollo ser\u00eda de 49 km\/h a 1.000 rpm en s\u00e9ptima.<\/p>\n<p>De esta otra foto (de peor calidad), que hice con la versi\u00f3n con cambio manual, se puede obtener la misma cantidad de informaci\u00f3n. <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/files\/2009\/02\/instrumento_manual.jpg\" alt=\"Volkswagen Passat EcoFuel. Manual.\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>En esta foto se ve que era m\u00e1s pronto por la ma\u00f1ana que en la anterior y que hac\u00eda m\u00e1s fr\u00edo fuera. La carretera estaba as\u00ed:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.km77.com\/revista\/wp-content\/files\/2009\/02\/carreteranevada.jpg\" alt=\"Passat EcoFuel. Carretera nevada.\" title=\"Passat EcoFuel. Carretera nevada.\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Llevaba ruedas de invierno. Y decid\u00ed probar c\u00f3mo frenaban sobre la nieve. Me qued\u00e9 sorprendido porque se encendieron las luces intermitentes de emergencia. Fren\u00e9 fuerte, pero sin frenar a tope, intentando que no actuara el ABS.<\/p>\n<p>(Estoy completamente seguro de que el combustible del coche que conduje era gas natural. Pero ni lo comprob\u00e9 ni ten\u00eda ninguna forma de comprobarlo. S\u00f3lo cuento porque en el funcionamiento del coche no se nota ninguna diferencia con relaci\u00f3n a un coche de gasolina. Y yo no desmont\u00e9 los inyectores para ver si lo que sal\u00eda por ellos era gas o no.
